Transfer requests for students interested in transferring schools within KUSD for the 2017/2018 school year (LakeView students who would like to transfer back to their boundary school) will be accepted January 1-21, 2017. Parent Initiated Transfer Request forms are located on the KUSD website under "Parent Information" and are also available from the LakeView office. The form must be returned to LakeView no later than January 21, 2017. No requests after January 21, 2017 will be considered. Transfer requests to attend a school outside of your attendance area will be considered based on available space and socioeconomic balance. Seniors- the Annual Actuarial Science High School Scholarship application are due on or before Tuesday, March 1st. Please see Mrs. Anderson for more information.

Mrs. Garin’s health classes are hosting a school-wide rummage sale February 24-26. Since this is a school-wide event we are asking for students and staff to donate items that can be sold at the rummage sale. All proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. If the rummage sale nets $500 or more Mrs. Garin with shave her head in March. Come on LakeView, let’s raise $500 in Februar6y and take Mrs. Garin up on her challenge.

Juniors- UW-Help is piloting a service where they will send timely and fun texts about preparing for college to those students interested in attending a UW campus next school. Texts will officially begin in mid-February, but students can sign up through mid-March. Interested juniors should text keyword Prepare to 99000 to enroll.

If you are still interested in the SumoBot Club but were not able to make the SumoBot meeting, please see Mr. Predaina for information.  The next meeting is Monday, January 23rd from 2:45 to 5:00 PM.

The Kenosha Chess Club tournament has been rescheduled to Saturday, January 28th. More details will be available next week.

The Women’s Club is offering an academic scholarship of $1000 to women who are seniors in high school and plan on enrolling full time in a college or university. Please see Mrs. Anderson or visit the scholarship wall for more information.
