DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

  • The office will be closed during spring recess and reopen on Monday, April 28th. If you need immediate assistance, please call Mr. Hittman directly at 359-8870.

  • Today, we finish out Spirit Week with Super Hero/Super Villain day and good old fashion Jail ‘n’ Bail. Put you friends, Teacher, or Principal in the “slammer” for 30 minutes to cool off and get their personality straightened out. Let Officer Hackney use his SWAT uniform and arrest you. Profits from Spirit Week help off-set the cost of Prom.

  • Prom tickets are on sale during (AAA) or lunch time. The cost is $35 of an individual and $60 for a couple. The cost includes your dinner and the Prom. Stop by the Prom table during AAA or lunch.

  • Skills USA Members attending the State Conference, there will be a meeting during (AAA) on Thursday in Room 306.

  • Tutoring Students- your timesheets are due by noon today. Any timesheets turned in after 12:00 PM this Thursday will be paid in the following pay period.

  • There will be Dodge Ball and Intramural Basketball this Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the Rec Plex.
  • Are you looking for a job? The Kenosha Job Center is sponsoring a “Young Adult Job Fair” on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 1:30 to 4:00 PM for young adults 16 years of age to 24 years of age. The “Young Adult Job Fair” will be held at the Kenosha County Job Center 8600 Sheridan Road Kenosha, Wisconsin. In the Commons Area at Entrance D. Please read the Job Fair etiquette posted in the Commons at LakeView.

  • Registration forms for summer school courses at your boundary school are in the main office. Forms need to be turned into your boundary school as soon as possible.

  • Harborside Students- please see Mrs. Anderson today if you have not chosen your Harborside electives for next school year.

  • Seniors: if you are of Italian Heritage, please see the scholarship board for the Italian Business Scholarship. This is a $1000 scholarship available to those attending either a 2 year or 4 year college next school year, and the Kenosha Education Association is offering a $1,500 scholarship to those attending a 2 year or a 4 year college. Please see the scholarship wall of the LakeView website for information.

  • Gamers- LakeView will be hosting a Super Smash Brothers Melee Tournament on the evening of Thursday, April 17th at 6:00 PM at LakeView. The entry fee is $5.00 and all proceeds go toward helping to pay for the Prom and keeping the cost down. The games will be played on game-cubes which means you will need to bring your own game-cube controller. The sign-up sheet and full list of rules will be posted in the Common.
  • Are you interested in hosting an exchange student this coming school year? LakeView has two students looking for a host family. Cristina is from Venezuela and is 16 years old. Cristina wants to become a Chemical Engineer. She speaks good English, has many hobbies, has her own health insurance, and will pay her own expenses. Flora is from Brazil; she is 15 years old. She wants to become an Architectural Engineer. She speaks very good English. Flora has many hobbies, has insurance, and will pay her own expenses. She looks forward to winter since she has not experienced a winter season. If you are interested in either Cristina or Flora, please contact Mr. Hittman as soon as possible.

Amended 2013-2014 Calendar for LakeView Due to School Closings:

June 9 will change from an early release exam day to a full student school day.

June 10, 11, & 12 will be the new final exam early release student days.

June 13 will be the staff workday.
