About LakeView Technology Academy

We have a mission to successfully educate all students to help them reach their fullest intellectual, academic, social/emotional and physical potential.

LakeView Technology Academy is a specialty high school preparing students to enter the field of engineering or higher level technology. LakeView opened in the fall of 1997. LakeView has a unique partnership with the Kenosha Area Business Alliance (KABA), WISPARK Corporation, Gateway Technical College , Marquette University College of Engineering, and the Kenosha Unified School District . LakeView students earn the equivalent of one year of technical college credits and/or one semester of college of engineering credits upon graduation. LTA has the highest Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exam (WKCE) scores of any public high school in the Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties. LTA Quick Facts

  • LTA's career tracks: engineering, automated manufacturing, information technology, biomedical & aviation.
  • The school has a capacity of 395 Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors.
  • The school has strong ties to local business and industry.
  • Students take on-site Gateway classes which allow them to earn 18-21 college credits. These credits can be transferred to Gateway and several other colleges.
  • Some classes are 90-minute blocks.
  • Students can attend LakeView on a full time or part time basis.
  • Students take both KUSD and Gateway classes
