Environmental Club: Collects recyclables from around the school to raise money for group and environmental activities as well as other fund raisers and activities such as park clean-up. Meets during morning break on Wednesdays. No fees at this time. Ms. Kopernik, Advisor
Supermilage Team: Students will design, build, test and demonstrate a high mileage vehicle. Students will also help raise monies for the cost of the vehicle. The car will compete at Road America at Elkhart Lake near Sheboygan. No fees at this time. Meets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school until 4:00 p.m. Mr. Schultz, Advisor
Fitness Club: Participates in fitness activities such as jogging, walking, weight training, etc. There will also be educational materials available. No fees at this time. A physical form from your doctor and not from parents is required. Meets some breaks and after school. Mrs. Garin, Advisor
Skills USA Club: Work on PC problems, machining skills, CAD skills, leadership skills and compete in State and National competitions. There could be some travel and lodging fees for competitions. Meets during break. Mr. Garringer and Mr. Schultz, Advisors.
Archery Club: Students will need own bow, arrows and targets. Meets Mondays after school. Mr. Sutkay, Mr. Kielar and Officer Marik, Advisors.
Culinary Arts Club: Plan meals and create menus. Offer meals for sale to teachers bi-weekly and serve them. Visit restaurants, explore making ethnic foods, taste ethnic foods, and learn the skills of fine food preparation. Meets every other Thursday. Mrs. Lacroix, Advisor
Prom Committee: Plan prom by developing theme, select location and decorate, plus fund raise for prom. Meets during break and after school in the spring. No fee. Ms. Hurley, Advisor
Campus Life Club: Get together for fellowship, sharing, encouragement, and enrichment opportunities. Meets 2-3 days a week during break. Mr. Garringer, Advisor
Media Club: A combination school newspaper and art club for those students interested in art, writing, photography, cartooning and publishing. No fees at this time. Meets Thursday during break. Mrs. Overocker and Mr. Ortiz
LakeView Crew: Hiking, camping, sailing, scuba diving, rock climbing, just about anything outdoors, plus visit museums, festivals and other cultural events. Meets Tuesdays during break. Fees associated with activities. Mr. and Mrs. Overocker, Advisors
LakeView Legends Robotics Team: Students will design, build, test and compete with a robot in the FIRST International Robotics Competition. Students will help raise monies, practice gracious professionalism and travel to competitions. Fee is $15.00. Fall meetings will be during morning break. Meet the first Saturday in January, and every day after for six weeks after school, including Saturdays and Sundays. All members do not have to meet every day. Dance Team: Team will perform at athletic events. Dances will be from all type of ethnic backgrounds including Latin, hip-hop, and African dancing. We will introduce dances from the 40’s through the 90’s. There will be a fee for participants’ uniforms. Practice will be after school with performances in the evenings and during half time of athletic events. Advisor to be determined.
National Honor Society: Members will be nominated by a committee of LakeView staff members. Members must meet academic, character and community/volunteer standards. Members will volunteer and perform service projects, and participate in induction ceremony and dinner. No fee at this time. Mrs. Rudey, Mrs. Mulligan and Mr. Ortiz, Advisors
Team America Rocketry Challenge Club: Design and build rockets to meet certain criteria in order to compete at local and national competition. Students will be in teams of 3 to 10 students. Team registration for competition is $105 and $30 to $100 for components. Meetings will start as soon as possible. National competition is May 15, 2010. Mr. Garringer, Advisor.
The Board game club allows students to play various board games of their choice. The club will meet on Friday’s during morning break. Mr. Towne is the club adviser.
